391,000
files, consisting of 391,000 documents reveal that the information regarding the torture and abuse against Iraqi detainees, including electrocution and even summary executions came at the hands of U.S. military commanders, but with additional notes indicating that no investigations were made on these cases.
A glance at the figures is sufficient to corroborate the slaughter: 109,032 deaths, of which 66,081 civilians, 23,984 enemy described by the Pentagon as "insurgents", 15,196 Iraqi soldiers and 3,771 of the countries of the coalition. More than 60% are civilian casualties, which is equivalent to some 31 civilians killed every day for six years.
In that period of six years, a total of 180,000 Iraqis, one of every fifty adult males, were also imprisoned, and Washington closed its eyes to the torture and even executions by security forces in that country.
The list of atrocities is endless, and the response of controls who read these reports was always silent. An order issued in 2004 ordered the troops not to investigate these human rights violations, unless there are foreign troops involved. If the perpetrators were Iraqis, "only make an initial report. There will be more research unless ordered by HQ " (English acronym headquarters).
United Nations requires the United States to investigate the complicity of its troops to the torture of Iraqi police. The soldiers had orders not to investigate the abuses.
